Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We want Rahat's community to be open, welcoming, friendly, and inclusive. We are committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or level of experience.

Our Standards

Members of this community are expected to:

  • Be respectful and considerate in all communications.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Assume good faith and be welcoming to newcomers.
  • Be mindful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Give and receive constructive feedback graciously.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following are examples of unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
  • Threats of violence or advocacy of harm against any person or group.
  • Insults, name-calling, or derogatory comments about a person's identity.
  • Public shaming or posting private information (doxing).
  • Deliberate disruption of discussions or the community’s processes.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all community spaces, including but not limited to:

  • Issue trackers, pull requests, and code review comments.
  • Mailing lists, chat channels, and forums.
  • Community events (virtual and in-person).

It also applies to behavior by community members when they are representing the project, including at conferences, meetups, and online.

Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it. You can report incidents by contacting the project maintainers at team@rahat.io When reporting, please include as much of the following as possible:

  • A description of the incident and the behavior observed.
  • The date, time, and location (link) where it occurred.
  • The names of people involved and any witnesses.
  • Screenshots, logs, or copies of messages (if applicable).

Confidentiality & Protection

We prioritize the safety and privacy of reporters. Reports will be handled confidentially to the extent possible. Retaliation against anyone who reports a problem in good faith will not be tolerated.

Responsibility

All community members are encouraged to help foster a positive environment. Maintainers are responsible for the enforcement of this policy and for responding to reports promptly and fairly.
